Heritage Nakshi Kantha Hand-Embroidered Cotton Quilt

A full-size kantha quilt built the traditional way: worn cotton saris are layered and held together with a dense running stitch that both quilts the cloth and draws the design. The Jessore school favours folkloric narrative panels — fish, birds, the tree of life — worked outward from a central lotus. One quilt occupies an embroiderer for six to eight weeks, which is why lead time runs to sixty days and MOQ stays low. Slight irregularity in the stitch line is inherent to the technique.
